RAW SAUSAGE · IN THE FRIDGE
1–2 days
One to two days. Raw sausage from chicken, turkey, pork or beef gets the same window USDA gives ground meat, and for the same reason: it is ground meat in a casing. The seasoning does nothing for shelf life.
Fully cooked sausage is a different product with a different window — one week refrigerated.
These are quality windows drawn from published USDA food-safety guidance — an estimate of how long food stays good, not a safety date. If the package carries a printed use-by date, that date governs.

Near the end of the window?
Cook it through and you convert a two-day item into a one-week item. That is the single best return available on any meat in this library. Raw, it freezes one to two months, which is short for a freezer window; the fat and the seasoning both work against long storage.

Ranges are as published. Treat the short end as your real window — grocery produce is already days past harvest, and a cooked dish starts its clock at the stove.
Looking up your groceries one at a time is a hobby. A bad one.
Savery scans your grocery receipt and tracks these windows for everything you bought at once. The spinach, the strawberries, the milk you forgot about — all on one shelf.
